The countdown is on. For the first time ever, cheer athletes will have the chance to take their skills to the professional stage as the Pro Cheer League gears up for its inaugural season in 2026. But before the spotlight shines on the competition floor, the action starts with the very first round of tryouts this fall.
For fans, athletes, and families, this is history in the making — and there are plenty of ways to stay plugged in.
Applications opened hrough July 24, giving athletes 18 and older the chance to secure a spot in the tryouts. Then, in early September, the journey continues across four launch cities: Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, and San Diego. Each market will welcome hopefuls ready to chase a roster spot on their city’s professional team. By October, the 30-athlete rosters will be finalized, and preseason training begins in November.
