After one of the most dominant inaugural seasons in the Pro Cheer League, Miami is bringing back Greg Ghazal and Jose Gonzalez for Season Two — keeping one of the most experienced and decorated leadership groups in professional cheer exactly where it started.
And after spending most of Season One setting the pace for the rest of the league, Miami isn’t entering Year Two planning to slow down.
From the opening match in Indianapolis to dramatic comeback wins later in the season, Miami quickly established itself as one of the defining teams of the inaugural PCL season. Metal consistently delivered in pressure moments, built one of the strongest team identities in the league and helped fuel one of Season One’s biggest rivalries with Dallas Drive.
That edge started with leadership.
Greg Ghazal returns after continuing to build one of the most successful coaching careers in all star cheerleading. A longtime leader at Top Gun All-Stars, Ghazal has spent nearly two decades developing championship-level teams while becoming one of the sport’s most respected choreographers and creative minds.
Jose Gonzalez also returns after helping guide Miami through one of the strongest seasons in the league during the inaugural year.
A longtime athlete and coach at Top Gun All Stars, Gonzalez has spent more than 30 years helping build championship-level teams while coaching some of the most recognizable programs in all star cheer. His experience spans multiple Worlds and Summit-winning teams, along with years of choreography and athlete development at the highest level of the sport.
Together, Ghazal and Gonzalez helped Miami become one of the toughest matchups in the PCL from the very beginning.
Miami won the league’s inaugural match in Indianapolis, protected its undefeated streak through the regular season and repeatedly found ways to respond under pressure — including dramatic comeback moments in Houston that kept the Metal firmly at the top of the standings.
But Miami enters Season Two with experience, chemistry and something every contender wants back:
Another shot at the championship.
