The Miami Metal didn't just compete in the Pro Cheer League's inaugural season, they helped define it.
From opening the league with a statement win to battling through one of the season's closest championship races, Miami established itself as one of the league's premier teams. Every match carried championship implications, and by season's end, one rivalry stood above the rest: Miami Metal and Dallas Drive.
Now, Kory Little is back to make sure the next chapter ends differently.
For Little, returning for Season Two wasn't a difficult decision.
"Returning for PCL Season 2 was easy because I had such a fun time during Season 1, and now I know what needs to be done to win the championship."
Miami finished Season One with three match victories and a season-long battle with Dallas that came down to the wire. While the championship ultimately slipped away, Metal enters Season Two with the experience and motivation to chase the title again.
Little believes that disappointment has only strengthened the team.
"We have a lot of unfinished business... we're going to make it impossible for the judges not to pick us."
That mentality has become the foundation for Miami's offseason. Every routine, every game, and every matchup is another opportunity to prove they're the team to beat.
For Little, however, the mission extends beyond winning championships. As one of the league's returning stars, he understands the opportunity to help build professional cheerleading from the ground up.
"I'm trying to break boundaries and set records."
That same drive fuels him every time he steps onto the mat.
Whether it's throwing Olympic-level tumbling passes or performing in front of packed crowds, Little says the fans are a major reason he's returning for another season. Just as important is proving to himself that the years of dedication have been worth it.
With tryouts on the horizon and another championship chase about to begin, Little is ready to get back to work.
