The Pro Cheer League is entering its next era.
Today, we’re proud to officially announce the expansion of the league with two new teams in Houston and Kentucky, marking a major milestone in our mission to elevate cheerleading at the professional level.
These two locations represent some of the strongest and most passionate cheer communities in the country. By bringing Pro Cheer League teams to Houston and Kentucky, we’re creating new opportunities for elite athletes to compete, perform, and be recognized on a bigger stage than ever before.
Leading these new teams are two respected names in the cheer community: Allen Shearer, who will serve as Team Manager for Houston, and Misty Hodges, who will lead the Kentucky team. Their experience and leadership will play a key role in building competitive, high-performing teams in each market.
A Bigger League. A Bigger Season
Alongside expansion, the Pro Cheer League is doubling its competition schedule for the upcoming season.
In 2025, the league will host 10 events nationwide, giving athletes more chances to showcase their talent, connect with fans, and build the future of professional cheer.
This growth reflects the continued momentum behind the league and the increasing demand for a true professional pathway within the sport.
Championship Stage Set in Houston
The season will culminate in the Pro Cheer League Championship in Houston, to kickoff the weekend of NCA All-Star Nationals in March.
Building the Future of Pro Cheer
From new teams to expanded competition, every step forward is focused on one goal: building a sustainable, high-level future for cheer athletes.
The addition of Houston and Louisville is just the beginning.
As the Pro Cheer League continues to grow, so do the opportunities — for athletes, coaches, and fans alike — to be part of something bigger.
