Louisville, KY — The Pro Cheer League continues to build an elite lineup of leadership with the appointment of Misty Hodges as Team Manager of one of its newest teams, Kentucky Crush, bringing more than three decades of coaching excellence and industry influence to the role.
Hodges, co-owner of GymTyme All-Stars and Louisville Cheer & Dance Co., has been a cornerstone of the cheerleading world since co-founding GymTyme in 1991. Her impact spans every level of the sport, from youth programs to elite international competition.
A former athlete at the University of Louisville from 1990 to 1995, Hodges has served as the university’s cheerleading coach since 1996, building one of the most dominant collegiate programs in the nation. Over her career, she has accumulated an extraordinary list of achievements, including 51 combined NCA College National Championships as both an athlete and coach.
Hodges’ global influence includes serving as a Team USA coach in 2012 and 2013, as well as coaching at the ICU level. Her teams have captured a combined 29 World Championship titles and 11 Summit championships, along with multiple titles across NCA high school, all-star, and collegiate divisions. She has also contributed to the growth of STUNT, earning three championship titles in the discipline.
With 36 years of coaching experience across elementary, middle school, high school, college, STUNT, all-star, and international cheer, Hodges brings unmatched depth and perspective. Her career also includes a decade as an NCA camp and clinic instructor and time as a Varsity Fashion representative, further shaping her well-rounded impact on the sport.
A lifelong athlete who began gymnastics and cheerleading at age three, Hodges is widely respected for her passion, longevity, and commitment to excellence.
As she steps into her new role in the Pro Cheer League, Hodges is expected to bring elite-level leadership, a championship pedigree, and a deep understanding of athlete development to her team and the league’s inaugural season.
