Bigger League. Real Rivalries.

On July 18, athletes arrived at tryouts with one goal—to earn a spot on the Golden State Grit roster.

With new head coaches Eddie and Miking leading the program, every athlete stepped onto the floor with a clean slate. Returning athletes weren't given the benefit of the doubt, and newcomers weren't overlooked. Every rep, every stunt, and every game carried weight, creating a structured, competitive environment where every opportunity had to be earned.

The standard was set early, and the athletes responded.

An Offseason That Changed Everything

Throughout the day, one theme kept surfacing in conversations with athletes: the offseason.

Many talked about the extra hours they invested after Season 1—more reps, more strength training, more time perfecting the details. There was a shared belief throughout the gym that the work put in over the past several months would separate this team from where it was a year ago.

Execution was cleaner. Skills were more difficult. Confidence replaced hesitation.

The offseason didn't just make Golden State Grit better—it raised the expectations for what this team can become.

Coed Stunts Steal the Spotlight

Coed stunting quickly became the story of the day.

Partner after partner stepped onto the floor and delivered difficult skills with confidence and precision, drawing gasps and applause from athletes lining the edges of the gym. The difficulty was impressive, but what stood out even more was how consistently those skills were executed.

Each group seemed to raise the bar for the next, turning one of the day's evaluations into its defining moment.

If this is the standard Golden State Grit is bringing into Season 2, the rest of the league has every reason to take notice.

The Work Starts to Show

Golden State Grit showed the results of an offseason built on hard work, higher expectations, and a commitment to getting better every single day. The roster is still taking shape, but one thing already feels certain:

Golden State Grit isn't chasing last season anymore. They're chasing what's next.
