The Pro Cheer League is about to witness the rise of a team built on fire, fight, and fearless ambition. The Golden State Grit are holding their first-ever tryouts, and their mission is clear: find athletes who embody the unshakable determination to push past limits and chase greatness.
A Mentality Forged in the Grind
For Coach Brandon Madsen, success isn’t defined by natural talent alone—it’s earned through relentless work and an unstoppable mindset.
“We’re not on this stage just because of talent or ability. We’re up here because of 4 a.m. We’re up here because of two-a-days or five-a-days. We’re up here because we had a dream and let nothing stand in our way. If anything tried to bring us down, we used it to make us stronger. We were never satisfied, never finished. We will never be retired.”
Madsen’s words echoed his search for athletes with the #MambaMentality—a philosophy rooted in perseverance, resilience, and the hunger to achieve more, no matter the obstacles.
Building a Culture of Grit
For both coaches, DiDi Madsen and Brandon Madsen, The Golden State Grit are searching for athletes who don’t just want to perform—they want to outwork, outlast, and outshine. This team will be built on the belief that greatness is not a destination but a continual pursuit.
With a culture forged in early mornings, long practices, and a refusal to quit, the Grit aim to set the standard for what professional cheer can be on the Pro Cheer League stage.
A New Era Begins
For those stepping onto the floor at these inaugural tryouts, the opportunity is monumental. This is the moment to join a team that doesn’t settle, doesn’t stop, and doesn’t back down.
The Golden State Grit aren’t just competing—they’re building a legacy. And it starts with athletes bold enough to dream big, work harder, and never stop chasing more.
